Magic Kingdom has had so many changes lately. From the new Villains Land to Piston Peak, Magic Kingdom keeps us busy all week long.

So it shouldn’t be surprising that another change is coming to Magic Kingdom in April. There’s a new showtime change coming on April 19th that can seriously affect your vacation!
Currently, Magic Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular Happily Ever After is held nightly at 9:30 PM. This fireworks show celebrates the happily ever afters of all of your favorite Disney characters with fireworks, music, lasers, projections, and special effects. But its showtime is changing soon – Happy Ever After will begin at 10 PM starting on April 19th.Â

Happily Ever After will likely begin at 10 PM for the rest of the summer. This change happens yearly to accommodate a later sunset, since it needs to be fully dark out to get the best fireworks views and projection quality. Historically, Happily Ever After has remained at 10 PM until August or September.

It’s important to note that, since Magic Kingdom often closes at 10 PM, guests watching Happily Ever After on nights when the park closes at 10 PM will have to leave the park at the end of the show. But, shops along Main Street U.S.A., notably The Emporium and Main Street Confectionery, typically remain open a bit later (usually until around 11 PM) if you’d like to do some shopping before you leave. Be sure to watch park hours carefully, though, as Magic Kingdom does stay open later than 10 PM on some nights!
