Regular days in Disney World are often wildly busy, with wait times for numerous rides stretching sometimes beyond an hour.

That’s a long time to wait for just ONE ride, especially when the parks are usually only open for 8-10 hours each day. When you factor in eating, shows, and experiencing other live entertainment, that doesn’t mean you can spend your entire time in line and get everything done you want to. That’s where the allure of after-hours events comes in! After-hours events are separately ticketed, meaning they do cost extra, but they get you access to the parks later than anyone else, allowing you a few precious hours with wildly low waits and complimentary snacks. We recently headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for one of theirs and issued a challenge — just how many rides can we do in those few hours?
Right now, Hollywood Studios is home to the “newest” ride in the parks, as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opened up back in late May. Seeing as this park is also home to some of the biggest and most thrilling rides in all of Disney World, it’s typical to see this park have some of the highest wait times for numerous attractions. That’s just one reason why the after-hours event can be great for those trying to do as much as they can!

The free snacks are also a big perk, but funny enough, we did the math — you’d have to eat 24 ice creams (sodas can be traded out for some of them) PER PERSON to make the event worth the additional cost. Now, popcorn is also available, and as these snacks and drinks are unlimited, you can grab as many as you want throughout the night. Now, the lower wait times and potential to see rare characters also are worth something on their own, though there’s no monetary value directly associated with them.

But just how many rides can we do in these few hours, from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM? Tune in tomorrow morning at 10 AM ET to our live YouTube premiere to see! You’ll be one of the first to watch the new video, and also get a chance to chat with fellow AllEars fans, as well as members of the team. It’s a great way to kick off the weekend, if you ask us!
