It’s been a BIG day for The Walt Disney Company. The company recently released its Quarter 2 2026 earnings report and held its earnings call, which outlined how well the company is doing financially.

After the earnings call, Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro took some questions. One involved the company’s $60 billion investment in its Experiences division (which covers the parks, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Consumer Products — at least for now). D’Amaro gave an update on the park’s capacity, as well as growing the Disney Cruise Line’s fleet.
In the earnings report, Disney’s Experiences revenue was up 10% from the same time last year, with attendance in domestic parks up about 3 percent. D’Amaro pointed out that the parks are showing a clear demonstration of the ability to drive growth thanks to another record quarter.

Disney World is currently building three new lands in three of its parks plus an expansion in Magic Kingdom, and the resort has recently upgraded and updated several rides while also reimagining parts of the parks. In Disneyland, a huge Avengers Campus expansion is underway, with plans to also add an Avatar-themed land and Coco ride.

D’Amaro also mentioned that World of Frozen in Disneyland Paris’ Disney Adventure World was well-received. According to D’Amaro, Disney Parks is “performing significantly better than our competition.”

Disney Consumer Products also benefited greatly from movies, including the highly successful Toy Story 5, which made over $1 billion at the global box office. However, Disney Consumer Products will soon be moved over to Disney’s Entertainment division, so that could affect Experiences revenue in the future.

Disney Cruise Line is also expanding. Most recently, the Disney Destiny and Disney Adventure set sail for the first time, and according to D’Amaro, they are both performing well.

D’Amaro stated that even in this period of financial uncertainty, Disney’s consistent investments combined with the experience Disney provides to its customers are unique and greatly valued. The company will continue to grow over the years to come.
